What time is it? Meet the team time! You know we like to introduce you to our team, let know what makes ‘em tick and gets ‘em out of bed in the morning! This week we’re turning the spotlight onto Fleur Hosken, the Marketing Manager here at ProdPad. She loves working in the fast paced environment of a startup and is hoping you’ll come introduce yourself at the next conference.

Meet the Team: Fleur Hosken

Without further ado let’s ask Fleur some questions!

Explain what you do Fleur:

As Marketing Manager it’s my job to make sure people know who we are and what we do! I spend my time looking at ways to put the right content in front of the right people at the right time. I work across CRM, social media, on-and-offline events to list a few. Data makes the world go round and I’m particularly focused on testing hypotheses through campaigns, email automations and making sure I can see the ROI on what I’m up to every day!

What did you do before ProdPad?

I’ve always gravitated towards working in a startup, I like the pace of the work and getting to work on all sorts of different projects. Previously I have worked in employee wellbeing and engagement, fashion tech and events.

What makes you excited to work at ProdPad?

It has to be the team, when I met Janna for my first interview, I left and thought, wow, I need to work here. Working with a team of ridiculously intelligent and engaged people is ace. I love it!

Favourite productivity app?

Duh, it’s got to be ProdPad! I do love a Google sheet but I don’t like when anyone messes with my layout.

Favourite time-wasting app?

Oh gosh, this is a tough one, I am really good at wasting my own time on nonsense. I think it’s probably reading r/nosleep stories with the lights off or staring at makeup tutorials on instagram.

Most famous person you’ve ever met?

Erm, not sure if she is the most famous person I’ve met but I feel like it’s a good humble brag. Rumer Willis once told me I had a beautiful singing voice. For anyone who knows me I am not even able to hold a tune in the shower and if you can’t make it with those sweet acoustics you can’t make it anywhere.

Favourite thing about working remotely?

I only work from home once or twice a week because I like being around the people I work with to bounce ideas off them, but when I do work from home it’s nice to be able to plug in and get those tedious tasks done that need quiet concentration and limited distractions.

Puppies or kittens?

Both please and lots of them, like a paddling pool full of puppies and kittens. (I am really allergic though so this would be great for about 5 minutes, then the slow closing of my windpipe would ruin it.)

Any hobbies?

I like crafty things, pom-pom making or crocheting things, or baking. I’m trying to master the art of making the perfect Cornish pasty to make my ancestors proud whilst also making my jeans feel increasingly snug. I like to pretend I can do design work from time to time and am currently doing some illustration projects like a feminist-dystopian comic book. (Really, really slowly.)

Fun fact about you?

I got my head stuck in a cat-flap when I was 2. The firemen were called, a reporter came too. Not only did I get cut out of the door with an air saw but I made the national papers. YOLO. I think the funniest thing about this is my grandmother had a wall for all the accomplishments in the family and the clipping below made it up there somehow…
